I haven't confirmed this news. But I do believe Microsoft is doing something to make OLPC project switch to Windows. I think a project should keep its rightness and kindly goal. A project alternating its dream because of money issue will lose the support from its community and die.

Before the Civil War, people said "United States are". After the Civil War, people said "United States is"

This is a phenomena hard to explain. Why?
Coz according to US census 2000, English is not the most major ancestry. The top one is German(15.2%), followed by Irish (10.8%)
Then, it's English(8.7%). But Italian and Scandinavian are of similar percentage.

I told her that I just moved into a new office. After viewing the pictures and videos of my new office, she said, "oh, the office is very large". Large! I don't think so. Then I realized that I have been in United States too long. My office is now half size of ECHO lab, the lab in which I was before I left China. We had, more than 10 people in that room. Oh, yeah, I think so.

We are now the winner of Research Enrichment Fund Grant Competition of Texas Tech 2007. The total amount is $35,000, including my salary and travel expenses.

Although this grant is available for 1 and a half year, since I spend less than 1, 000 dollars per month, I don't need to look for money in the next 3 years till I get my PhD degree on Computer Science and MSc on Electrical Engineering. My salary now increases to $1,700/mo.

About 3 years ago, I stopped writing blog in Chinese. Then some friends object it coz they hate reading English. So I began to write my bilingual blog. But now I am too tired. It's really a time-consuming job to type Chinese.
